• Dogs must be kept on lead at all times while outside the ring.
• No dog to enter the ring until invited by the judge/steward.
• Silent toys or food in a sealed container may be carried out of sight or placed on the reward table during judging.
Rewards may be given after each exercise but food must only be given in the designated area (indicated by the steward) and not dropped on the ground.
• Dogs must be wearing flat or half-check collars only while in the ring.
• The dog is the responsibility of the handler.
• Do not distract other dogs or handlers.
Dogs that may be loud or disruptive while others are competing should be left in the car until they are needed.
• Judging will be scaled to the handler and dog’s working level.
Those that have not competed in any form of obedience before will be considered pre-beginners.
Pre-B, Beginner, Novice: Competitors may use as many commands as necessary.
A and above: Competitors may use a simultaneous voice command and visual signal for each exercise.
The use of the dog’s name does not constitute an extra command when used alongside a command.
• You will be judged on the accuracy of exercises and you and your dog’s motivation and teamwork.
